Burbank Dentist That Accepts Delta Dental PPO
Magnolia Dentistry in Burbank accepts Delta Dental PPO plans for exams, emergencies, implants and cosmetic care. How PPO vs. Premier works and how to check benefits.

Yes, Magnolia Dentistry accepts Delta Dental PPO plans. If you have Delta Dental through your employer or an individual policy, you can use it at our office on West Magnolia Boulevard in Burbank for checkups, emergency visits, restorative work, implants and cosmetic consultations. Before treatment, we check your specific plan and explain what Delta Dental is likely to pay and what your share may be.
Delta Dental is one of the most common dental insurers in California, and its plans have a feature that confuses many patients: two different networks. Understanding them makes your estimates much easier to read.
Delta Dental PPO and Delta Dental Premier
Most Delta Dental PPO members can see dentists in two networks. Delta Dental PPO is the network with the lowest contracted fees. Delta Dental Premier is a larger network whose fees are typically higher than PPO fees, but PPO members still have cost protection there because Premier dentists also agree to set fees (Delta Dental). A dentist outside both networks can set their own fees and bill you the difference between their charge and Delta Dental's allowed amount.
Some employer plans also pay a different annual maximum depending on which network you use. The University of California's Delta Dental plan, for example, lists a higher annual benefit when members see a Delta Dental PPO dentist than when they see a Premier or out-of-network dentist (University of California). Your plan may or may not work that way.
Because network status depends on the exact network and plan, we confirm how your Delta Dental PPO plan applies at our office before your visit rather than giving a general answer by phone.
Using Delta Dental PPO for common treatment
Exams and cleanings. Delta Dental PPO plans usually cover preventive visits at a high level, often without a deductible. A cleaning and exam is also the starting point for any larger treatment plan.
Emergency visits. If you have a toothache, swelling or a broken tooth, call us first. Emergency exams and X-rays are typically covered under diagnostic benefits, and treatment such as a filling, extraction or root canal is covered according to your plan's basic and major service levels. See our emergency dentist page for what to do right away.
Crowns, bridges and implants. These are usually major services, commonly paid at a lower percentage and limited by your annual maximum. Many Delta Dental plans also include rules such as alternate benefits and missing tooth limitations. Our guide to whether PPO insurance covers dental implants explains how those rules work, and a predetermination from Delta Dental gives you a written estimate before treatment.
Cosmetic dentistry. Veneers and whitening are generally excluded as cosmetic. Related care, such as a crown on a damaged front tooth, may be covered. Our guide on whether dental insurance covers veneers explains the difference.
How to check your Delta Dental benefits
Sign in to your Delta Dental member account or app to see your plan's coverage levels, deductible, annual maximum and how much you have used this year. The network name and member ID on your card are what we need to check your plan. If you are planning major treatment, ask us to submit a predetermination so Delta Dental can confirm its expected payment in writing.
Have Delta Dental PPO? Book a visit and bring your member ID. Our team will check your plan and walk you through your benefits before treatment. Book an appointment or call (818) 846-9041.
What we don't accept
Magnolia Dentistry accepts PPO dental plans only. Delta Dental also sells DeltaCare USA, a DHMO plan that requires members to use an assigned network dentist. We don't accept DHMO plans or government-funded programs such as Medi-Cal Dental. If you're unsure which type you have, the plan name on your card or your benefits summary will say.

Questions patients often ask
Is Magnolia Dentistry in the Delta Dental PPO network?
Network participation depends on the specific Delta Dental network and plan. We accept Delta Dental PPO plans and will check your plan before your visit so you know how your benefits apply.
Can I see a Premier dentist with a Delta Dental PPO plan?
Many Delta Dental PPO plans let members use Premier and out-of-network dentists, with different cost sharing. Your plan summary explains what you'll pay with each.
Does Delta Dental PPO cover dental implants?
Some Delta Dental plans include implant benefits and others don't, and coverage is usually limited by your annual maximum and plan rules. A predetermination is the most reliable way to find out before treatment.
